Join us for DAILY FUN DIVES. Choose between 1, 2 or 3 dives per day aboard our 80HP traditional outrigger dayboats. Our dive trips for certified divers depart at slightly different times than the norm to avoid dive site crowding. Our dive trips depart 3 times per day at 8 am, 10:30 am & 2 pm with 2 dives every Friday at 8 am & 2 pm (in accordance with the local prayer schedule). The dive sites are all within easy reach of our little paradise, with a maximum travel time of 10-20 minutes to the dive sites, meaning you spend more time underwater and less time on the boat. Dive sites change from day to day and we try to vary the dive sites as much as possible and adapt our planning to optimise the experience of each day’s divers. At Blue Marlin Dive Gili Air we ensure small groups to keep trips safe, relaxed and enjoyable but most of all to add that personal touch to your diving experience. Our boat has a spacious sundeck where you can enjoy the spectacular view on our way to the dive site and soak up the tropical sun. Afterwards, look up the day’s finds with our fish identification books while filling out your logbook and relaxing with your fellow divers.

Our dive trips run 3 times per day: 8 am, 10:30 am & 2 pm. On Fridays, we dive at 8 am & 2 pm. Nitrox is available.

QUICK REFRESHER

If you haven’t been diving in a while (over 6 months), we strongly suggest signing up for a quick refresher course. A quick theory review and session in the pool can help you become comfortable once again with some previously learned diving skills. The whole experience takes about 1-2 hours, after which you will find yourself far more relaxed and conservative with your air supply on your subsequent, included fun dive. Our quick refresher costs IDR 900.000 and includes your theory review, skill session in the pool and 1 dive.

I took the course in my own language and that was a plus. The shop is very well organised with very nice staff. Blue Marlin is professional, friendly and welcoming. Coco and the team really made me feel welcome, including after dive time, which was a bonus for a solo traveller. A fun bunch of people, but also professional, with attention to safety. The equipment is of high standard, well maintained, and they stock different size tanks - no quibble for a small tank (which seemed like a mission impossible in some centres round Bali).. The actual dive centre is really up-together, with a training pool and close to the beach for easy access to dive boats. There is an excellent small cafe attached, providing lovely food and fresh juices. The company is environmentally aware (bamboo straws!!) . They also have accommodation of a high standard; unfortunately, I paid premium rate for a room further along the beach, which was no-where near as good as the rooms here. I would recommend taking the whole package here if you are visiting Gili Air, but even if not diving and you want a quality stay, this is the place.
